Hello there..I sell on Etsy and happen to have Brazilian Boulder Rough Opal (pics available) and have Cabochons that I crafted..My issue here is that a seller from Thailand is claiming that his doublets are Brazilian Boulder Opal backed with Queensland Ironstone..I bought my rough from a USA seller a couple of years ago and the host stone is Andesite which is grey-brown in color..I have only seen one rough-faced specimen somewhere online (can't remember where) and there was also a video on Youtube with a cab..This Thailand seller's claims that it is "common practice" to back all opals (from any country) with ironstone for doublets..Well, Brazilian Boulder Opal does not come with the blue/greens like in Lightning Ridge Opals..His claim I believe is deceptive and confusing to the public, and yes it's affecting the sale of my True Brazilian Boulder Opal...Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do? Thanks, Diane
